Care instructions for stainless steel
Stainless steel (V2A) is a high-alloy steel with the material number 1.4301. It contains the alloy metals chrome and nickel and is therefore also known as chrome-nickel-steel (CNS). It is very resistant to rust and acids.
However, this material has to be treated or cared for correctly in order to achieve its long-life cycle.
If stainless steel comes into contact with normal iron over a longer period, this can lead to so-called contact corrosion in connection with humidity. Spots of rust spots are formed on the stainless steel surface. This stubborn discolouration can be removed using a stainless steel brush. Fingerprints, grease spots, vapour accumulation etc. can be removed using standard abrasive-free cleaning agents. (These should be approved for use with food or the clean-room sector.)
Regular care makes the ground surface look like new even after many years of use.
